To Port Augusta

Thursday, September 12, 2013

The drive from Adelaide was uneventful. Best stop was in a place called Port Germein. It’s claim to fame is that it is ‘possibly the longest wooden jetty in the Southern Hemisphere’. Apparently it used to be 1.7km long. Not too sure how long it is now, but we walked it to the end and it was impressive.

Tomorrow we will stock up on some extra supplies and head for the Central and Northern Flinders Ranges.
