Black Sand Beach

Day 59 (1,416 to 1,1449 kms)

The plan was to get away early, to catch the low tide and the fresh morning, which I did. I had the long lonely wind swept back sand beach all to myself for the whole morning. As I walked I could feel the day heating up. A few hours later I was near the end of the beach, and the sun was beating down. A perfect time to swim prior to heading inland. The water was indeed nice and refreshing.

The beach was followed by a non-interesting pine planation forest. The trees were so young I could not even escape the heat here. And then back onto the roads for the final stretch into Bulls. Rewarded myself with McDonalds on arrival.

End of my time on the beach. Marked by the little orange arrow.
No entry. Probably a good idea, as it is a bombing range.
Airforce out for practice.
