Day 68 (1,608 to 1,634 kms)
Very relaxed day today. The first 16 kms were through the bush followed by a very quick 10 kms to the train station. This is the end of of this stretch for me. I have to head home to get to a birthday of a close close cousin. It was another 12 day stretch, which is a time frame that seems to work well for these smaller sections. I have only 92 kms to get to the end, which will take 4 days.
From the train station I went into downtown Wellington, where I can stay with me mum. I was treated to a very nice meal and desert. Life is good on the tail.
