New Plates for Molly and an Engine Warning Lamp

Wednesday, July 4, 2018

The plan was for a weekend camping trip to Pinnacles National Park. First chore was to mount the new license plates. Unfortunately less than 2 miles down the road, Molly decided it was a good time to throw an engine code and enter limp home mode. Weekend cancelled.

The dealer advised that the engine code was “Implausible High Coolant Temperature”. Nothing was found to be wrong with the engine or the coolant temperature sensor, so error was reset. The ECU software was also upgraded to the latest version, RC04.
