Black Canyon of the Gunnison

After a wonderful day and two nights with Gary and Alison, it was time to move again. Just over an hour north of where they live is Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. This is a super nice little National Park that offers an easy scenic drive showing how the Gunnison River has carved through the Mesa to form Black Canyon. We were unable to stay in the National Park campground, so headed an hour North to Gunnison Gorge National Conservation Area, where we boondocked at a lovely spot by the river.

Park Entrance. Quite the climb to get to this point.
