August is a really good time to visit Cape Parry, with an average temperature of 8ºC (46ºF). In winter the average temperature is -29ºC (-10ºF). Record low with wind chill is -68.4ºC (-91ºF).
There is a Distant Early Warning or DEW line station here. We weren’t allowed to visit. Instead we enjoyed the vast scenery and avoided any Polar or Grizzly bears.
