Headed north out to Albuquerque to Boca Negra Canyon, which is just one of the Petroglyph National Monument sites. There are hundreds of archeological sites and an estimated 24,000 petroglyph images carved by Ancestral Pueblo peoples and early Spanish settlers. We only saw about 100 petroglyphs. Very nice way to spend the morning, clambering over rocks looking for petroglyphs.
